What does my Student need to Ride the Bus?
All students who ride the bus must have a bus pass.
Kindergarten bus riders are issued two passes. One is on a lanyard that can be worn around the neck and the other will attach to your child's backpack. Kindergarten students must have a pass to get on the bus. If your kindergarten student should lose his or her pass, please notify the office right away and we can have another one made to insure that your child's bus service is uninterrupted.
Additionally, ALL kindergarten students who ride the bus home must be met at the bus stop by an adult who is on the student's emergency contact list. Our kindergarten students will not be allowed to get off the bus without an adult present. If no one is there to meet your child, he/she will be brought back to the school office and we will contact parents/guardians to come and pick up your student. If a student is brought back multiple times, he/she may lose bus riding privileges and a parent or guardian will be responsible for bringing the student to school as well as picking up the student at the end of the day. If for any reason you chose not to have your child take the bus home on any particular day, please call the school office as early as possible so that we can get a message to the student that they are not to ride the bus that day.
Bus riders in grades 1 through 6 are also issued bus passes which they must show to the driver every time they get on the bus. If your child should lose their bus pass please send them to office for a replacement pass.
If you have any questions please call the school office at (562) 864-3071.
