Welcome to Moffitt Elementary School's web site. Our mission is that students would become lifelong learners and outstanding, contributing citizens. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing learning environment, and providing a rigorous academic program for all students. We place emphasis on learning experiences that promote and encourage the acquisition of skills needed for academic success and building good character.

The staff at Moffitt School is continuously involved in staff development to improve our knowledge and skills in best educational practices. The teachers are immersed in learning new strategies and techniques to provide instruction that is standards based. Our classroom environments reflect what we have been learning about teaching and best practices.

Parents are encouraged to be involved in the education of their children. We invite all parents to become active with our PTA, helping in classrooms, assisting with special events, chaperoning on study trips, and supporting fundraisers which provide a variety of enrichment activities. Parents are also encouraged to become active and have a voice in our Shared Decision Making/School Site Council, and the English Language Advisory Committee. We know that student achievement increases when the school staff, families and the community work together.
