ALWAYS check out the "Important Dates" page since I try to keep this page up to date with any important events coming up at Moffitt.

Here are a few important reminders...
  • It is very important that your child arrives on time to class...school begins at 7:55. If our class is already inside then please go to the office for a tardy slip (unless it's raining since there are times I bring the class in early if that's the case.)
  • Please sign in at the office if you are coming to help in the class.
  • Please make sure your child's jacket/sweaters have his/her name written on the tag.

When reading with your child, do the following...

  • Show your children the cover and ask them what they see, what do they think the story might be about, etc.
  • Do a "picture walk" i.e. show them all the pages but don't read the words- ask them what they think the story might be about based on the pictures.
  • Choose a 'sight word" - for example, "the" and see if they can find the sight word in their book.
